| Ok I have been messing with this for about 3 weeks now trying to learn it, I have watched a few games and for most people this is not going to be their play style.
What I am looking for is anyone who is willing to play some games with me periodically, can have a VASAL - Make a date section.
The learning curve is in my opinion is not to bad I think if you are a competent person you can handle it.
Vasal will allow you to try out new armies with out buying them, try new units, etc.
A 1500 point game takes about 2 1/2 hours just like a real game but the people on there type everything. I currently have a 12 slot ventrilo server (will post info later depending on response). With ventrillo you wont have to use the target and firing markers and it will be a little more personable.
If you are interested let me know, I will PM you with some information.
**Note** If you never used Ventrilo you need a headset for your computer other than that pretty easy to use. _________________

| You should post a bit about VASAL for those that haven't heard of it. _________________ Dark Angels 1750 win/loss Record Win - 22 (The Dark Angels wiped some silly pod marines) Loss - 13 (Brice's Necrons wiped me) Draw - 2 (The 13th hold out in alpha take and hold)

| Good call Matt...
Vasal is a Java script 2-D map that uses sprites to represent units in 40K, you can use for a lot of game systems apparently don't know haven't tried them.
What happens is one person starts a game and the second joins. You then pick out your units from your army tab just like you would get a model from your case. This is the time consuming part because there is NO way to save armies from game to game. You then label any special models. When you, opponent, or observer mouse over unit it will show up.
After set-up you then deploy just like you would in a regular 40k game. Play each phase then move to next one. There is a random dice roll button, multiple ones actually, random scatter dice, and all the templates and everything is to scale of a regular GW model.
It will take a few games to get used to manipulating everything, but I think it will be a nice program to those who have time to learn it and frustrating for anyone who is trying to fit in a rushed game.
Here is the link: Not much really more of a hands on learning.

| Ok for the people who PM'd me and others I have a hectic work schedule this week so will try to get something solid for a few 1200 pt games or something. Will also post Ventrilo information will that can be used by any CAG member for CAG related things, no getting your buddies logged on to play something else and filling all the slots, I will give a couple people admin and then post their names, if you have a problem one of us should be able to fix it. _________________
