Disclamer: Noob questions please forgive

1st ? How do you classify a sergant for a squad? do they cost more points?
2nd ? You can only have one of each heavy weapons unit and one flamer/plasma/melta in a squad?
3rd ? Do you have to have the grenades actulally shown on the model if you get the upgrade?
4th? For a roughly 1000-1750 army what kind of hq can you use?
5th?Anyone tired of the ?'s yet?
Again sorry for all the ?'s my codex from ebay hasn't arrived yet(which i've been bitching about to everyone wiht an ear, and apologize again) So if any ?'s i had would have been answered there sorry. I'm planning on picking one up at sci fi tomorrow along with a command squad.

1) He will be an upgrade to a regular Marine. All pertinent info for the Sgt. (+points, wargear, etc.) is listed in the options of the entry for the squad in the Codex.

2) Yes and no. You may have as many heavy weapons squads as your Codex allows Heavy Support Choices. In most cases, three choices/squads. For Troops Choice squads, most armies' squads can only have a single heavy weapon. There is generally only one "special" weapon (Meltagun, Flamer, Grenade Launcher, etc.) per squad, however, some squads and armies allow more.

3) Nope. Anyone who demands that you do should get an honorary kick in the jimmy for being a douchebag.

4) In any game, you can take any HQ your army allows, so long as you have the pre-requisite Troops choice.

To the fourth: 1 HQ is required, but you can have up to two.
