I played a demo game today.

I enjoyed the speed at which it played, the game made sense withint about 5 minutes coming from confrontation. I also think the models are pretty nice considering they are pre-paints. It will be nice to play a game where everyones armies are to a somewhat decent standard. Even if I can do way better than what the pre-paints look like, there is something to be said for opening a box and playing with it right there and then.

The game mechanics are simple enough to learn, but there is a lot of depth there.

I played U.N.A against a Therian player. Those dudes can be nasty Wink Time to read the rules now so that when I next play I can be more of a threat. Very fun, I picked up the rulebook and the Red Blok army book.

Sounds good. How many points was played out.Standard mission?

Red Blok,is a very different playing army then any other in this universe(AT-43).There is absolutly no just standing in the back and shooting with infantry and most A.F.V.

How do they play then, good question,Im still wondering myself Laughing

Really though, they aqre alot of fun to play.Indirect fire is key with Red Blok.So if you like this style of firearm,or weapons, with radius, then they are for you.

Dont get me wrong, they have there fare share of direct fire as well, but it is needed to be planned to a T,and mapped out how to get to the position without dying first.See the rangeband on the biggys, like the Marushka,My personal favorite, and I will tell you,has no respect, untill its up close and pointed at a defender snake or a Wraith Golgoth.this rocket launcher is able to shoot at the infantry as well as mechs.Nice touch,+it has a structure damage of two points a piece. So running 3 or just one in many smaller units,(big bucks to do)is really key.

At rangeband 4 which you will find is a normal range for alot of the game forcertain weapon systems, puts the rocket at a bad advantage. That would be -2 on the resulution table, needing fives to wound.Tough to do,exspecially when needed.Thats on 6 dice,so you will hit maybe one, somtimes two,or flat out None.

There are special tactic that are secret and I wouldnt be able to unload to you on public fourm. They work. The Red Blok is at its best, when playing Campaign style missions.Thats a fact.

I like running a heavily infantry based army for simplicity. That is Control of objective. And overrunning the V.Z.to.Indirect fire dosent hurt a largely based infantry unit quite that badly, and its cheap to build, because they are just miners of Hadision or somthing crazy like that.

Red Blok has great options like the UNA,meaning,if you like running heavy in the Mech department, there is the frontline offense. They contol objectives w/ mechs.(nice),maybe not,One huge nasty mech sitting on a control point, and 3 puny steel trooper standing right next to it at the end of the round, they WIN control in the Control phase of game.Nasty little tidbit.Like I said,I talk to much.

You have the ARC which gives I think up to 16 infantry men if possible with a Capt on board.(Only with the capt. card that is)extra fighters on the top right hand of card.

Ill talk to you later gotta go now.

See ya....
