PostSubject: Karmens First list   Mon Jan 28, 2008 12:12 am

With a bunch of Karmans being released tomorrow, I think Karmans can have a great varied list that is competitive. My friend wants to get into At-43 and likes the Karmans. He doesn't know what to get yet and wanted my suggestion. So I suggested the following list based only on available models without proxy. Comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Karman List - 2000 AP
8 Anakongas w/ Mentor / 2 Flamers = 510 AP
8 Kaptars w/ Venerable / 2 Snipers = 555 AP
2 K-Fighters w/ Mentor = 435 AP
1 Easy Trike = 250 AP (Reinforcement)
1 Easy Trike = 250 AP (Reinforcement)

Total = 2000 AP LP 10 / Auth 6. 1500/500 for Reinforcement games.

Boxes to buy:
1 Anakonga Unit Box $25.00
1 Anakonga Attachment Box $30.00
1 Kaptar Unit Box $25.00
1 Kaptar Attachment Box $30.00
1 K-Fighters Unit Box $30.00
2 Easy Trike Boxes $60.00
Total = $200.00 Retail

Tactics:
Kaptar Unit will be command unit. Stays far back and uses better accuracy and snipers to fight in range combat. Venerable is safest it this unit because it is further away from enemy. Far Range Anti-Infantry unit.

Anakonga Unit used as a vanguard unit. With lower accuracy and flamers, they try to get as close to the enemy as possible. Firing drum pistols at one unit, flamers at another, then try to melee battlesuits all in one activation. Close Range Anti-Infantry/Battlesuit unit.

K-Fighters support Anakonga unit with jammers. Travels close to Anakonga unit. Hopefully firing at afvs while attacking other battlesuits in melee. Anti-AFV/Battesuit unit.

Easy Trikes with the great maneuverability will try running over enemy units while supporting the other units with their great AFV abilities. Harasses enemy AFV units with the awesome mov. Also tries to run over enemy infantry caught in melees with the other units. Anti-AFV/Infantry unit.

Reinforcement
With the reinforcement splits, easy trikes since they can't hold objectives for RP make great reserves. Their high MOV will allow them to join where needed when they come in. Also placing both vehicles in reserve will give enemy anti-afv nothing to do. K-Fighters can handle enemy AFV until they come out while others have infantry/battlesuits covered.
