2250 Empire v2.0

A swing towards the Magic phase while stamping out the potential 2nd Steam Tank by picking up the War Altar. Not sure how I missed the Rod of Power the first go as its a nice piece of kit. Dumped the Greatswords though I'll probably finish painting them for eBay.. maybe.

I would really like to play against that army with my new skaven army hit me up and we will go to town and battle.

I'm not sure if you want feedback on this list or not? but I guess I'll leave it for you as just something to think about. Is this a tourney list or a just for fun list. If its a tourney list as an empire player, I've seen War Altar plus steam tank in a list take a comp hit, if its just for fun do whatever you want.
I guess the main drawback against his is combat res. I don't see anything other than The big block of knights with it. And you've put a lot of points into that.
Also you don't have any pistolier's. Which i think are the best unit the empire has other than the Pope Mobile.
I'd like to play it sometime could Empire Civil war is great fun

I tried for a mix of comp friendly and tourney ready (ie: less models to paint) I agree on the Pistoliers, but I need those slots for Cannons. The smallish Full Plate Knights will fill the role.

In one version I had twin Outriders with the 2 Cannon instead of the IC Knights.. thoughts?

You know I've done the outriders, and they the fact they cannot move and shoot is a strategic limitation. I use pisotliers much more. At first i thought the outriders rocked, but fast cavalry that doesn't move can easily be avoided. Where as i can get around the flanks and charge in the back and get warmachines with pistoliers, plus they allways stand and shoot and they ignore most to hit modifiers.

This role I have the Pegasus Captain fulfilling... Pistoliers may be better.

Some games are needed for sure.
