| | Im using outriders but should i even have a musician if i don't plan on using them in melee, also im using them in a squad of 10 as opposed to two 5 man. another question i have is should i use swordsmen or halbredeers? |

| I'm not a big fan of the outriders, but for sure no need for musician...
use the Swordsmen as the main unit then support them with the halberdiers and gunners as the detatchments.... 20-25 swordsmen then 10 each in the detatchments and your want at least 2 of these sets!
And your not really empire unless you take a cannon _________________ The footprints made in the sands of time are not made by sitting down... Unless your playing Warhammer WAAAGH!

100% disagree
Try this..
5 Outriders [LA, Musc] 113 Two units of 5 are sooo much better if you have the slots.
You will flee with these as well. Pip to rally is needed. Seriously.. its 8pts _________________ 2nd place is the 1st loser

| I just don't like having the small units like that that are too vulnerable to be wiped out or sent packing from one volley of fire. Yes they are fast, and can shoot. But besides that all they are really good for is annoying the other player. Sure they can flank, but really I'd rather sink those ponts into some more of the core infantry units and bolster them. I really don't even like taking Knights in units smaller than 10(I still do though cause of the great armor saves). my 2 cents... _________________ The footprints made in the sands of time are not made by sitting down... You've already lost if your deployment sucks that bad Empire infantry is pants. Overpriced, slow, weak, etc..
Large units of Knights are pants. Unwielding, vulnerable, points sink etc..
My playtesting has yielded a simple approach.
Two central blocks of "we aint going anywhere infantry" with a sprinkle of shooting just in case. Multiple small units of flanking Knights which do the real work. Cheap flyer Hero to tag warmachines. Cannons for the big gribblies. Mortar for horde. Oh, plus two big old broken pieces of kit _________________ 2nd place is the 1st loser

| | What you want is pistoliers, pistoliers, pistoliers, awesome fast cav. The problem with outriders that I've come across is they can't move and shoot. Mounted yeomen are the best fast cav in the game, pistoliers in my opinion are the second best. |
