High Elf Noble Mount

Bought the High Elf prince/noble to lead HE army I'm putting together. I also got the HE chariot. I was planning on converting the the mounted prince/noble to ride one of the lions from the chariot as his mount.

Would this model be allowable in an actual game? I'd still count him as being mounted on a steed but wanted the lion just for visual appeal.

Wanted to check before I went ahead and used the lion on a model that would wind up being just a display model.

Sounds like a really cool conversion. Around Cinci (and most gaming stores elsewhere I'd imagine) that won't be a problem so long as others know that the lion has the stats of a horse. For casual play.

Most WFB tournaments are strongly WYSIWYG. Even the non Rogue Traders ones.

Since there is no lion mount normally allowed, I dont think it would be confusing. I would allow that at any of our events in Columbus.

pah! It's a sweet conversion...use it! Sure game wise you cannot right a lion, but just use him as an "elven steed." Just tell your opponent at the beginning of the match.

if they bitch about it, you're probably not going to enjoy the game.

Well this is good news. I've got the lion and the noble assembled. Going by a quick test fit it should be a fairly simple conversion. The rider sits a little high due to his chaps (i guess its called chaps Very Happy

) I'll probably just make a simple blanket/drape for the rider to sit on with a pretty generic saddle. It'll be the last thing I'm doing as I've got most of the army to put together yet. once I get started I'll try and post some pics in WIP.

Dude, you were up at ACME on Saturday right? looking into l5r and some other stuff?

I'm the fat dude you talked to about 40K/Fantasy/l5r...the one pimping the different decks and talking about the armies for Fantasy! rendeer

Nope, obviously from the above that wasn't me. Mind telling me where ACME is though? So far I've only found Sci-Fi and Upupandaway. I live in Westchester but am around Finneytown a lot as thats where my girlfriend lives.
