Tomb Kings?

Hey all,

Decided to finally create my account and stop lurking lol. I have currently been working on a Tomb Kings army and was wondering if anybody else plays them? They seem to not be a popular army and was just wondering if this is for any reason or if it just happens to be? Haven't played Warhammer Fantasy yet so I can't exactly tell what rocks and what sucks, but I think I have the up to date Army Book for them and I have the small book that comes in Battle for Skull Pass, so I'm working on it.

I've got a 2000pt army of them, but I never use them. The army book is in dire need of an update, which has a lot to do with the lack of players.

Yeah that's what it seemed like, the Army Book just had that old feel to it, but it matched all the ones I could find online. I wonder with them bringing the Vampire Counts in full swing that they may be somewhere down the line as they are connected fluff wise I believe.

Yea I know the VC book was updated and I hear they are amazing. Not sure of any update plans for Tomb Kings... Aren't you supposed to be playing an undead faction anyways ha ha Twisted Evil

They seem to be an army of match ups. If you dont have magic defense, TK can crush you. With many armies immune to fear and dispell dice on the rise due to the last 4 army books, the TK will probably suffer more today. I do think they are an interesting army to play with and against.

They are a strong army still. They do need an update though cause in hand to hand if my rats can take the charge or even get the charge they can beat those stupid skely's down. Me no like Skeleys me KILL KILL SKELEY's had a bad night of running from them last night. I still think they are a good army though.

Cool, now to just get some Carrions and Screaming Skull Catapaults to finish my army, and I should have close to 2k points. Yet to play a game though lol.

In big games I would definitely take the Casket of Souls nothing like causing auto wounds to people who dont pass leadership. Theres also the screwing with wizards casting bit of it.

Such a sweet model too but I agree it's great for big games I think.
