I purchased 2 copies of the Collectors edition of WoW, Wrath of the Lich King. All my wife wanted was the pet. The rest of the stuff is unopened and includes: Soundtrack, Making of DvD, art book, several dozen cards for the card game, some are rares. I would sell all of it, includung the box for $20.00 if anyone is interested. I am keeping all my stuff of course , just don't need 2 copies of the extras.

So I scored some cheap lizardmen metals of ebay and got a few free hours today and went to town assembling pretty much all the metal models I have that I've been neglecting (other than that dwarf bolter thrower which requires it's own day)

I have a new pinning media/method that I like a lot.

I know brass rod is supposed to be the best, but I can never get myself to spring for it. I have been using paperclip, but that kinda sucks, they are weak and a little too small. My new material ...

OK, I have a few question about killa kans.

On shooting weapons: if you opt for 'heavy' like Grotzooka or Mega Blasta, does it function like other heavy weapons -- you can either move or shoot? Is that different since it is a walker?

In other words; can a kan with KMB Walk, Fire and Assault in the same round? Can it only fire and assault?

Is it different if it only has a Big Shoota, or a Scorcha, which are assault weapons? Can they Walk, Fire and Assault same round?

So....I gave in and bought two starters of this with two unit booster. 50ish bucks. Not too bad, but I still don't like the collectible aspect.

HOWEVER

We played a game and it was a blast. It plays incredibly quickly, the prepaints look FANTASTIC, and the rules are basic enough to learn in about 15 minutes but complicated enough for there to be plenty of depth. I still hate that it's collectible, wish they'd just sell army packs for 50 bucks or whatever, but I still think it's a ...

Here, for all too see are some new pics leaking out over the weekend of the new plastic temple guard and the new metal sculpts of the kroxigor and the terradons.

While I think the kroxigor could be better, I think it is an improvment, and also a blend between the 5th and 6th edition models. The 5th edition models are beefy, but IMO terrible stupid looking and not tall enough.

The current models are very thin, almost snakelike. ...

Using the Dark Elf Cold Ones for Lizardmen Instead

So how feasible do people think it would be to use the dark elf cold one models instead of the lizardmen cold one models for cold one riders?

The dark elf models are incredible. They look just like a terrifying velociraptor-type dinosaur should.

The current lizardmen cold one models look to me like the "land before time" version of a velociraptor that has been made goofier looking. This is still an improvement over the even older hump-back cold ones. "Go and waddle ...

Quite a while back I posted an idea about a revolution or colonial civil war taking place on Mars - about 100 to 200 years from now as the background for an RPG campaign.

Anyone have good suggestions for class descriptions, 'templates', or general guidelines for Marines that might be posted to Mars to keep the peace - or enforce what the government back home on Earth wants.

What sort of equipment training would Marines (or Army soldiers) in that environment need?

WOTC announced that the D& D miniatures line will be canceled

the 2 sets projected for 09 are squashed as well

Limited products such as "Map packs" or "Heroic encounters" (ala Black Dragon or Dritz pack)

Here's what I got

Many of these were made form '84-'92

there is a mix of Grenadier( ? ) and WEG molded figs

they are listed as 25mm

many are Painted (poorly I might add) or primered but easily enough stripped

I got no more use for them since the WOTC sets have been comming out

they average for about $2-4.00 per fig

i'd like to get $125 for the lot
